Most successful websites have only one thing in common—the design is simple and easy to use. Most effective websites don’t overuse graphics or heavy animations to sell their products. The aim of a functional website is to sell or increase member base or advertise services by making information easy to find, confusing the user with flashiness is counterproductive and will make them leave and probably not come back. Website designers should always develop a design that keeps customers focused on the main activity—to inform and/or to buy and introduce products or services offered by that company. Which leads to the most important question you have to ask yourself when you undertake a website development project is, "who is your customer"? The site should be developed specifically for them. Younger generations are practiced at using technology but older generations will struggle. A good website designer will adhere to this principal and not make the website design too complicated for the end user.
